Happy Birthday Graphics Part 1

?A picture says a thousand words.? We can struggle and strain to say exactly what we feel but a picture can sum it all up without a single word. A greeting card shops is well aware that the happy birthday quote and the happy birthday graphics will make or break the sale of the greeting card.

Graphics refers to drawings, illustrations, diagrams, and all the things that make the greeting card appealing and attractive. That is why hand-drawn or original cards have a very high appeal ? they are one of a kind items.

Once upon a time there were two brothers who were just 2 years apart in age. One lived on the east coast of America; the other lived on the west coast. The east coast brother was a whiz at marketing and other business ventures.

The west coast brother was an artist. He was talented with wonderful illustration skills and he was known for his creative drawings. The two brothers were always close and the distances didn?t change that. They kept in touch using all the options made available through modern technology.

The east coast brother came up with a plan: ?let?s start a greeting card business. I will handle marketing and distribution and you create and illustrate the cards.? The west coast brother eagerly agreed to the interesting idea and the plan was put to task.

The artist in the family decided it would be best to begin with a single card category and chose birthday cards, for starters. His happy birthday graphics were beautiful artistic creations done in color pencil, ink, magic marker, sharpies, and conte crayon. The venture was on and the card business was underway.

However, as life would have it, there is a greater plan than our own and the east coast brother fell ill and was diagnosed with Leukemia before the greeting card business could even take off. He was a young man with a fatal illness. He needed a stem cell transplant for any chance of survival.

Thus began the search for a donor. After grand gestures and offers from both family and friends it was determined that the west coast brother was the only one who had a perfect blood match. He had sent blood samples immediately upon hearing the news and had been the first to volunteer for the stem cell transplant.

But, the east coast brother didn?t want him to upset his busy life and come east for an extended time. He wanted all this to go away so he could focus on the birthday card business. But that was not to be, the situation was all too real.

He had hoped to find a match with someone on the east coast and save his brother the trip, the time, and the money. The west coast brother insisted, however, and landed on the east coast before that day had ended.
