The Denver Nuggets beat the Indiana Pacers on the road, 92-89 on Friday night to even up their record at 10-10 on the season and keep pace in the Northwest Division. Andre Miller scored 15 points and dished out 10 assists as the Nuggets were fueled by 55 points from their bench to beat the Pacers.
Among other Northwest teams in action on Friday, the Oklahoma City Thunder held on to beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-108. The loss helped Denver move ahead of the Lakers in the conference standings.
The Thunder won thanks to 69 points combined from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Kobe Bryant pumped in 35 points in another losing effort from the Lakers.
The Minnesota Timberwolves remain tied with the Nuggets in the Northwest after pounding the Cleveland Cavaliers, 91-73 as Kevin Love led the way with 36 points and 13 rebounds.
Among the leaders in the Western Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the New Orleans Hornets, 96-89. Grizz swingman Rudy Gay scored 28 points while reserve Quincy Pondexter added 16 points off the bench.
The San Antonio Spurs rolled past the Houston Rockets, 114-92. San Antonio spread the wealth after taking an early lead with seven players scoring in double figures, led by Tony Parker with 17 points and seven assists.
In Eastern Conference action, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics in overtime, 95-94 thanks to 26 points from Evan Turner.
